In Hongdae, Korea, a trendy neighbourhood in Seoul, lies La Vie en Rose, a family-run restaurant struggling to attract new customers. Jae-Kyung Kim, who helps her parents in the kitchen, decides to go to Paris to study at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu institute. Encouraged by her classmates from all over the world and by the Chefs at the institute who push her to excel, Jae surpasses herself and discovers what gastronomy is really about, learning high-level culinary arts. She also realises how diverse gastronomy is thanks to various experiences, such as her trip to Bordeaux and exploration of World Cuisines.
This is a powerful journey of learning that will make your mouth water, but also a story of friendship and ambition, dreams and passion.
A documentary section completes the picture, giving a detailed insight into the history and values of Le Cordon Bleu institute, which already boasts 130 years of excellence in education, from the Culinary Arts through to Hospitality Management!
